Geotechnical Engineer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience within the dams industry is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the principles of civil/geotechnical and geological engineering. Previous exposure to soft soil, rock mechanics and seismic topics is preferred.
- Willing and able to travel, both nationally and internationally, to conduct field investigation or construction quality oversight type work.
- Exposure to or knowledge of numerical modeling and finite element analysis, and computer aided design drafting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Sound organizational, technical, written, and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Prior engineering experience working in a consulting capacity is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
Education and Experience
- 5-7 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering focus preferred); Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
- PE preferred
