Geotechnical Engineer EIT
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Working knowledge of geotechnical engineering and engineering geology principles and practices, such as soil and rock classification and logging, soil and rock design parameters, and review and selection of laboratory testing to obtain engineering properties in both soil and rock.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with specialized design software packages would be a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and frequently with others.
- Employment experience in Tunnel or Trenchless Engineering or related fields will also be considered a plus.
- Similar summer work-term or co-op experience would be considered a plus.
- EIT/FE certification or higher is also a plus.
- Ability to obtain an EIT/FE certification within six months of joining on the path to PE registration in California or a relevant State.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, or a related field.
This position is intended for a recent or upcoming graduate of a Geotechnical or Geological Engineering Master’s Degree program.
The ideal candidate will also have the following additional skills and qualifications:
Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
