Your Opportunity

We are looking for a consultant to join our passionate, collaborative and results-driven team. As part of the HR Talent Services team of subject matter experts focused on employee experience, you will provide regional support and act as the main point contact for business leaders, HR and employees to provide optimal guidance and solutions for all aspects of international assignments, relocations, business travel and remote work arrangement in the Asia Pacific region with a focus on Australia, New Zealand and India.

·        Provide practice support and subject matter expertise to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Business Leaders and Employees relating to immigration, international assignments, relocations, remote work, and business travel arrangements for the Asia Pacific region.

·        Coordinate and track companysponsored immigration cases—including new applications, extensions, and cancellations—with external immigration vendors. Deliver regular reporting on temporary visa populations to internal stakeholders.

·        Manage service delivery and performance of Stantec’s external immigration and relocation providers, ensuring quality, timeliness, and positive employee experience.

·        Prepare cost estimates and packages for proposed assignments/relocations and partner with Business Leaders and HR teams to ensure a consistent application of Global Mobility practices to provide equitable employee experience.

·        Ensure ongoing communication with employees and relevant stakeholders throughout any immigration or mobility process to deliver exceptional customer service and employee experience.

·        Provide ongoing education to internal stakeholders on Global Mobility matters including immigration developments and company practices and processes.

·        With support from the Global Mobility Operations Manager, partner with the business to provide responsive and time critical advice and guidance in respect of new overseas bids and overseas resources/new assignment enquiries.

·        Partner with Payroll, Finance, Accounting and Legal departments to ensure effective administration and governance of all assignments, relocations, remote work, and business traveler arrangements.

·        Be the Asia Pacific point of contact for International Remote work requests.

·        Participate in and support Global Mobility projects and initiatives.

·        Ensures appropriate records, files and databases are maintained.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

·        Strong working knowledge of the Australian immigration framework and experience in managing end to end sponsorship obligations.

·        Demonstrated Global Mobility expertise overseeing the Asia Pacific region. Experience with assignments to and from India is advantageous.

·        Strong advisory capability, providing clear, pragmatic advice to internal stakeholders.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to manage sensitive situations/documentation.

·        Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.

·        Comfortable working with assignments/relocations to locations that may not have established processes or have had previous assignments.

·        Exceptional customer service skills with a mindset for continuous improvement

·        Comfort with ambiguity and ability to use sound judgment to drive complex issues to resolution.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of initiative and accountability.

·        Effective organizational and time management skills.

·        High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years' experience working with the Australian immigration framework, including managing employersponsored visas.
