What does a Graduate Civil Engineer in Community Development do?
It depends on the team you are in, but your day-to-day tasks could include:
· Working alongside a team of engineers, designers and project managers to deliver quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects
· Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants, and contractors to facilitate effective project coordination.
· Complete design calculations and records within time and budget restraints
· Gain experience in site inspections and construction contracts
· Utilise industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create and modify engineering plans in a digital format
· Contribute to the preparation of reports and other essential engineering documentation.
· Conduct site visits to observe and monitor construction activities, providing valuable insights for ongoing design projects.
