What does a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Water team do?
- Project Planning and Design:
- Assist in the development of detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Participate in the planning phase of projects including feasibility studies, hydraulic assessments and optionerring assessments
- Participate in the design phase of water projects such as pipelines, pump station and treatment plant projects.
- Utilise engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to review detailed drawings and models.
- Site Assessments:
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility.
- Analyse environmental, geological, and survey data to inform project planning.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project approvals.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, environmental, structural, geotechnical, process and planning.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Support senior engineers in client meetings and presentations.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist in monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Identify and address potential project risks and issues.
- Support the coordination of project activities and resources.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities.
- Seek mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers within the team.
