Stantec are seeking talented Graduates to join our Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program in our Buildings team in Sydney.

What does a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Buildings do?

  • Develop designs for the construction, operation and maintenance of machines and mechanical systems for building and built environment projects
  • Engaging with stakeholders such as authorities, clients (external and internal), suppliers and project team members
  • Work with architects, structural engineers and other design professionals to shape the buildings of the future
  • Involvement in planning and feasibility studies through to concept and detailed design.
  • Undertaking site-based investigations and construction phase site visits for a "start to finish" experience
  • Assess existing installations and systems for compliance and upgrade.
  • Create drawings and schematics using REVIT, 3D modelling, BIM and other industry software
  • Perform calculations to analyse and design mechanical system components
  • Working on a variety of projects concurrently

  • Passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
