What does a Structural Engineer in Community Development do?
- The design and documentation of structures across diverse sectors including Civil Infrastructure, Water Infrastructure, Transport, Heavy Industry and Mining.
- Developing computational models to analyse and assess structural behaviour of new and existing structures.
- The production of calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure that technical designs provide appropriate solutions.
- Contribution to structural design requirements from Concept through to Construction phases of project delivery.
- Support specific projects by assisting with document co-ordination and report writing.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary design approach, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Including: Other Engineers, Clients, Architects and Contractors.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
- Passion for learning and problem-solving
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post graduation
