Your Opportunity
We have an immediate opening for an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team in our Waterloo, ON office.

As an Intermediate Hydrogeologist you would be involved in a variety of projects related to hydrogeologic assessment, groundwater supply development and groundwater protection and management. Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, project coordination, data analysis and interpretation, and report preparation.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct investigation programs including drilling, test pitting and installation of monitoring wells
  • Map and interpret surface geology features
  • Design and implement groundwater sampling programs
  • Hydrogeologic assessment for municipal and industrial infrastructure projects
  • Hydrogeologic investigations for assessment for environmental impact assessments
  • Aquifer testing (slug tests and pump tests)
  • Manage project tasks and budgets
  • Supervise the work of Technologists and Junior Engineers
  • Business development to expand groundwater and environmental consulting practice
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Ability to meet a strong demand for high-quality, organized and consistent results.
  • Confident individual who demonstrates strong initiative and is capable of independent action with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent team-building and management capabilities, solid oral and written communication skills are desired.
  • Recognized for your high level of technical skills and practical ability to solve problems in various settings.
  • Familiarity with local practice and markets is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills;
  • Experience in hydrogeologic analysis and interpretation;
  • Experience in evaluation of soil and groundwater chemistry (organic and inorganic);
  • Working knowledge of evaluating groundwater data with respect to environmental regulations
Education and Experience
A post secondary educational background, ideally M.Sc.,specializing in groundwater supply evaluation, development and protection. 
5-10 years of hydrogeology/consulting expereince. 
Eligible for professional registration within Ontario

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
