Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Familiarity with integrated, collaborative industrial facility design processes.
- Experience in multiple project delivery methods including design/build, integrated project delivery, P3, etc. is an asset.
- Highly effective interpersonal communication skills and people management abilities.
- Excellent ability to write clear and articulate reports.
- Experience in discrete event simulation analysis is an asset.
- Some project management and/or LEED® experience is an asset.
- Professionally accredited degree in Engineering in support of a professional license is required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with at least eight (8) years of experience in industrial facility planning, design and/or design management, preferably using Lean/IE principles or equivalent education and/or experience. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP, or other energy/sustainability credentials desirable. Registration or credentials to register as an Engineer in Ontario is required. Must be able to travel out of town for multiple days and must have a valid driver’s license.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
