A minimum of four (4) years of experience on upstream oil and gas sites is required.
Previous experience in environmental consulting and knowledge of current industry related codes of practice and regulations (both provincial and federal) is required.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Primary skills and working knowledge of sampling techniques (soil, groundwater, vapour, surface water, sediment), as well as testing/sampling protocols.
- Secondary skills in other environmental services and multidisciplinary work would be a valued asset
- Developing project delivery skills
- Proven ability to supervise/manage contractors and clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including MS Office skills.
- Strong note-taking skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team environment is crucial.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.A minimum of four (4) years of experience on upstream oil and gas sites is required.
