Your Capabilities and Credentials
- The ideal candidate has the ability to work with initiative, professionalism, and confidentiality, and is able to multi-task and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong understanding of federal and western Canadian provincial regulations and permitting requirements.
- Project management experience with strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience working on projects in the construction phase and working with Environmental Inspectors is an asset.
- A solid understanding of provincial and federal environmental assessment processes.
- Interested in conducting fieldwork.
- Field experience is an asset.
- Ability and desire to coaching and mentor junior staff.
- Demonstrated experience in client management and business growth.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to use Excel proficiently and creatively to problem-solve and communicate.
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Project and task management experience with strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience
M. Sc. or B. Sc. in Environmental Sciences, or equivalent field of study.
A minimum of 5 years of environmental and regulatory related consulting experience in pipelines, oil and gas facilities, and/or oil sands.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
