Your Capabilities and Credentials
•Requisite knowledge and application of process mechanical design standards and practices.
•General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
•Strong knowledge of heavy industrial processes, SCADA systems, water and wastewater mechanical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
•Working knowledge of heavy construction industry practices and safety management strategies.
•Working knowledge of construction contract administration and review of construction contractor’s work for contract compliance.
•Experience with contract conflict settlement and contract negotiations.
•Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
•Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
•Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
•Advanced oral and written communication skills.
•Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Experience with 3D design preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer. Minimum of 8 years of experience.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work will include exposure to the elements including inclement weather, hazardous locations, confined space entry, working from heights, and walking rugged terrain.
Out of town overnight assignments will on occasion be required.
