Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proven technical, communication, writing and organization skills.
- Excellent communication, organization and writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Able to lift 50lbs and endure long days of physically and mentally. challenging field work while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Excellent navigational skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field.
- Good driving record and valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
- Able to work in a dynamic environment under deadlines.
- Developed breeding bird identification (sight and sound).
- Experience conducting field surveys in Alberta.
- Familiarity with relevant provincial and federal regulations and guidelines.
Education and Experience
Diploma or degree (Degree preferred) in wildlife biology or related field.
Professionally accredited (P.Biol., R.P.Bio).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including field work.
Please include detailed information on field-based skills and valid health and safety training (first aid level C, auxiliary vehicles, etc.).
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include remote work, long drives, 2+ week away from home shifts, and exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
