Your Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an Intern Junior Cost Controller to join our Vancouver Buildings group.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation of the required management plans and ensure follow-up and control to identify discrepancies.
- Provide support to the project team with budget and forecast management during execution to accurate reflect project status.
- Support Senior Management with cost control reporting while adhering to company standards.
- Provide support for the development of the detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost breakdown structure (CBS) of projects.
- Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the client, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.)
- Provide support for project financial analytics.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong project financial capabilities obtained through experience or education.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and resourcefulness.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
- Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Advance skills with MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.
Education and Experience
- Working towards a business degree.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
