Junior Electrical Engineer
About the role
We are currently seeking an ambitious Junior Electrical Engineer to join our friendly and busy Melbourne Electrical Team on a full-time basis. You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary team working across various building projects, including: health, commercial, retail, defence, data centre, industrial and educational buildings.
The successful candidate will ideally have a good grounding in design and be looking to further develop their role and responsibilities. The successful applicant will support our senior and project engineers on a number of projects at different stages of completion.

Day to day tasks would involve:
- Electrical power system design for a range of building projects
- Provide detailed designs, specifications and calculations
- Prepare technical documentation, carry out site inspections
- Bring value to in-house design/project meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Contribute to our company culture
- Adhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Hold a bachelor of Electrical Engineering
- Ideally have around 2-4 years experience working in a consulting environment within the Building services industry
- Knowledge of LV power system modelling and light modelling software such as PowerCAD, AGI/Dialux
- Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines with well-developed organisational skills
- Positive, can-do attitude, team player and strong work ethic
