Your Opportunity
In this position as a Junior Land Development CAD Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on exciting land development projects for a range of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment and learn new skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Use Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D and other tools to complete drafting of construction drawings, site plans, figures and other product deliverables.
- Assist designer in the geometric design of roadways, utility networks, storm ponds and site grading.
- Assist designer in the design of surface, sanitary, storm, water, and irrigation pipe networks.
- Prepare plan/ profile drawings of roadways in AutoCAD.
- Prepare drawings in Autoturn to simulate accurate turning movements.
- Work in a collaborative team environment with project managers, engineers, designers, and construction staff.
- Use knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes redlining, plotting, and drafting using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Prepare drawings, sketches and notes for projects, as well as redlines and plans for submittal.
- Assist in resolution of technical issues on construction sites.
- Perform quality control of construction drawings for peers & oneself.
- Contribute to design and drafting continuous improvement ideas and solutions.

- Able to work within tight deadlines and be adaptable to changing priorities.
- Eagerness to develop new skills.
- Diligent on meeting commitments using a high level of detail.
- Strong communication skills and willing to collaborate with multiple teams/ team members.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Proficient in Bluebeam Revu or Adobe.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D to prepare drawings and figures.
- Working knowledge of codes and design requirements.
- Graduate of Engineer Design and Drafting Diploma program, or equivalent.
