Stantec’s Aviation group is looking for a Land Acquisition Specialist to join our Portland, ME office focusing on land and avigation easement acquisition services.
Stantec is seeking an Aviation Planner concentrating on land/avigation easement acquisition services. We are seeking a candidate who is a dynamic, motivated individual that has problem solving and communication skills and a strong work ethic. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in challenging assignments and a cooperative work environment. We will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options. Whether you’re working from our Portland, Maine office, remote locations or at a client site, you will be working in a dynamic environment where your integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and pioneering mindset are championed.
What Will You be Doing?
- Assist with land/avigation easement acquisition projects
- Prepare a comprehensive land/easement program in coordination with our client’s requirements
- Coordinate with survey, appraisal, and legal subconsultants
- Negotiate with property owners
What Will You Need to Succeed?
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability, organization skills, and self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
- Ability to take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn other software systems.
- Detail oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to perform assignments and duties with minimal supervision
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Bachelor’s Degree in planning or directly related field
