Capabilities and Credentials

International Code Council (ICC) Certifications required:

• Commercial Building Inspector (B2), Building Plans Examiner (B3), Residential Building Inspector (B1), Residential Plans Examiner (R3) plus 4 additional ICC certifications at the time of hire.

Special Requirements

• Valid Arizona driver's license 

Education and Experience

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor degree in building construction, engineering, architecture or a related field plus five years of experience in municipal plan review, building inspection, construction contracting or management; or no degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal plan review, building inspection, construction contracting or management.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
