Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Intermediate knowledge of mechanical codes and standards.
  • Intermediate knowledge of mechanical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Intermediate understanding of all phases of engineering document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
  • Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
  • Recognizes limits of capabilities and qualifications and engages assistance, as required.
  • Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Sound technical skills, with focus on accurate design calculations and analysis.
  • Strong desire to learn and work in a team environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on multiple jobs/projects at a time.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work on an industrial site
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to support projects, clients, and fellow employees.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use standard computer applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering & EIT designation. Minimum of 1-3 years of work-related experience. Working toward full licensure. Industrial, specifically potash, field experience is considered an asset

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
