Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Comfortable working in both office and field settings;
- A passion for sustainability, energy conservation and energy efficiency;
- Strong communication skills and soft skills;
- Strong problem solving skills; and
- Understanding of mechanical systems in particular HVAC systems, building operations and renewable energy.
- Basic understanding of elements of electrical engineering such as lighting and electrical distribution;
- Basic understanding of building envelope;
- Hands on skill set and/or aptitude; and
- Prior experience with the field of buildings engineering.
Education and Experience
Third or fourth year Mechanical engineering student, working towards a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering. Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
