Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Outgoing personality to network within Stantec, with outside partners and clients (public and private sectors) and potential clients.
- Are self-starting, team-oriented professional with excellent written and communication skills that can manage multi-disciplinary teams comprised of internal staff and subcontractors.
- Should be familiar with review and analysis of scientific data, maps, and drawings.
- Provide support in managing task orders/projects and delivering high quality work products to Stantec’s multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Solid time management and follow-through skills.
- Strong research, analysis, and reporting abilities.
- High function in detail-orientation skills.
- Capability of managing large data sets.
- Self-starter and team-oriented professional.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Familiarity with review and analysis of scientific data, maps, and drawings.
- Ability to comply with all Stantec and client policies including those related to safety.
Preferred
- NEPA experience.
- Caltrans Experience (Capital and Local Assistance).
- CWA 404/401 permitting.
- CA Fish and Wildlife 1600 permitting experience.
- Ability to identify opportunities and build relationships with clients.
- Proficiency with MS Excel is a plus. Ability to work with multiple disciplines is preferred.
Education and Experience
- 6 -8 years of overall experience with; 5+ years of experience performing environmental planning and permitting work for California infrastructure clients, including local agencies and Caltrans.
- Bachelor degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management/Planning, Biology, Land Use Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or a related field.
- Strongly proficient in computer software including Excel and MS word.
- Experience working in the field under rugged conditions on foot.
- Experience in the support of delivering high quality work products to multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Experience with local and state permitting and CEQA.
- Experience with desktop analysis for determination of field survey needs for projects.
- GIS (Arc View) experience.
- Proposal and/or Grant Writing Experience.
