Planner, Brownfields Redevelopment

Your Capabilities and Credentials

·        Proven experience as a Planner, in both public and private sector planning project management. Project Management experience including: brownfields planning, environmental planning, redevelopment, urban design, comprehensive land planning, community engagement, public and/or private sector planning

·        Strong writing skills.

·        Experience writing and/or managing grants.

·        Thorough understanding of planning, and design concepts and regulatory structure.

• Ability to facilitate workshops and public citizen input both virtually and in-person.
• Knowledge of EPA Brownfields program is required.

·        Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams.

·        Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.

·        Working knowledge of relevant drafting/design software, such as GIS, Lumion, AutoCADD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat are a plus but not required.

Education and Experience

·        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field.

·        AICP APA, or PLA, certification

6+ years of years of Environmental or Land Planning experience.

Typical office environment working with computers. Some travel may be required to meet with reviewing agencies or clients or to attend public workshops and public hearings. May occasionally visit study areas, construction sites and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
