About the role:
We are seeking a Principal Data and Automation Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in contributing to company goals by providing technical leadership in data analysis and automation to support water services projects. You will act as a project manager, team leader, and mentor, ensuring project outcomes meet both client and Stantec expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in automation, analytics, and data engineering to meet project needs.
Develop and mentor junior staff, leading the data and automation analysts within the Regional Digital Practice.
Build strong relationships and foster a sharing culture across the Digital Practice and relevant streams.
Lead or support team development and recruitment for Data and Automation roles.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities, and develop business in line with Stantec business strategies. Lead proposal and bid development to support business development activities.
Ensure the delivery of robust data analytics and automated processes on time and within budget.
Promote and lead automation solutions within Stantec NZ and APAC for internal and external clients.
Fulfill the role of Project Manager or Project Technical Lead in delivering projects both internally and with external clients.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in data analysis, automation, and project management.
Strong technical expertise in automation, analytics, and data engineering.
Experience and certification using FME for data automation/transformation/engineering
Experience with other data and automation technologies e.g. SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau or other comparable technology
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Proven experience in business development and proposal writing.
