Process Engineer

Capabilities and Credentials

• 5+ years of relevant design experience of PMU systems, preferably within the design services industry.
• Experience in the development of technical documents pertaining to PMU systems including but not limited to, design memorandums, mass & energy balance, flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of design codes, standards, and best practices applicable to PMU systems including but not limited to NFPA and ASME.
• Experience with front-end loading (FEL) or similar stage gate engineering approaches.
• Experience with oilseed processing, food plants, or RNG is a plus.
• Experience working on projects exceeding $50 million in total installed costs is a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and project team members, with a strong customer service attitude.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Must be able to travel regionally, conduct short overnight trips, or other.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer Licensure in good standing is preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• It is desired for this person to commute as needed to the office located in Plymouth MN, however potential for partial or full remote work either in state or out of state is possible for the right candidate. 

Indoor (Office Environment) Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting. Noise level varies but generally at levels of conversation. Majority of time spent using a computer/laptop at a workstation and related office equipment. Time spent carrying, reaching, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 9 kilograms / 20 pounds Occasional – 1-33% of shift. Subject to extended periods of sitting; may be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk short to moderate distances to perform work. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment if needed.
