Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Knowledge of process engineering design of wellsites, conventional liquids handling facilities, gas plants, SAGD facilities, or refineries.
- Ability to read PFDs and P&IDs. Ability to read piping isometrics and piping plans.
- Experience with the development and checking of PFDs and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of piping hydraulics and line sizing.
- Experience with several process calculations, and an advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using simulation software (HYSYS, VMGSim, Promax, etc).
- Experience with hydraulic software (Fathom, Stoner) would be an asset, but is not required.
- Knowledge of design guidelines (API standards, AER directives, etc).
- Experience developing the abovementioned documents.
- Experience working with an electronic markup software, such as Bluebeam, would be an asset.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Requires solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience. Registration with APEGA as a P. Eng required.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
