Capabilities and Credentials

• Proven ability to create and innovate.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, inspire, manage, and develop staff.
• Knowledge of application development, quality assurance, testing methodology
• Knowledge of Operational Technology, real-time control, and industrial automation is an asset.
• Experience working in MS DevOps is an asset.  
• Knowledge of cloud application development, deployment,
• Can work well in a distributed team environment without direct supervision
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Possess a hard-working and positive attitude
• Ability to lead and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Experience with designing and deploying solutions to cloud computing environments.
• Experience with assessing security weaknesses and defining hardening measures.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with modern software patterns and frameworks including document databases, messaging systems, microservices, and containers.
• Technology knowledge and understanding of IT industry best practices
• Experience working in a consultant role is preferred
• Knowledge of the unique needs of the Water analytics and Operational Technology is considered an asset.

Education and Experience

Engineering Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 10 years of experience. Experience of 15 or more years is preferred.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
