Project Controls Specialist - Remote Opportunity

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Experience in cost controls including budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management
• Understanding of contract terms
• Working knowledge of project accounting methods and requirements
• Understanding of principles and methods related to earned value management
• Experience in working with and providing support to diverse groups at all levels of management
• Proficient user of MS Project and SQL /SharePoint applications is a plus
• Master user of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically desired: expertise in MS Excel)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proven time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
• Ability to see the "big picture" and use common sense to make decisions
• Ability and desire to build trusting, long-term relationships with stakeholders 
• Understanding of project accounting methods and requirements
• Coordinate internal and external business processes to meet the requirements of both

Education and Experience

BS degree or relevant technical college program
5+ years of experience in project/program controls, project management, or project accounting
Experience working in a consulting or project management environment is strongly preferred
 
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
