Project Engineer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with the ability to handle change and work with minimal supervision. 
• Must be willing to challenge your own work as well as the work of those around you in the pursuit of quality and safety.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable design codes and familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Regulations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere, including involvement in technical business development.
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer on detailed engineering/construction projects with a consulting firm or Owner’s team.
• Previous experience in the design, specification, and installation supervision of mine processing plants, including milling, refining, and/or smelting operations.
• You will regularly interface with other disciplines and departments to execute project. 
• Willingness to travel to client sites or other Stantec offices (~10% travel).
• Ability to travel as required for project assignments.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Education and Experience

• An Engineering in Training Designation is required and a Professional Engineering license in the State of Arizona is desired.
• 5–10 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, particularly surface or underground mining.
