Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong technical background
- Experience supporting projects from conception through construction within SAGD, conventional oil and/or natural gas facilities
- Excellence in Project Management: scope, cost control, delivery
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (B31.3, Z662, AER Directives, OH&S, etc.)
- Ability to multitask, in both capacities of handling multiple jobs/projects, and be able to carry out multiple tasks and scalability within each project
- Willingness to travel on occasion (1 to 3 day trips per month)
- Genuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team and with other discipline staff
- Ability to anticipate and resolve design issues
- Ability to challenge specifications and non-optimal designs and provide value added alternatives
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Focused on providing quality services to the customers in a timely manner
- High level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget
- Sound problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills
- Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to support projects, customers and fellow employees
- Oil/gas batteries, multi well tie-ins, pipelines and MOC experience is considered an asset
- Gas compression experience considered an asset
- Industrial HVAC experience considered an asset
- Field experience is considered an asset
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer with APEGA
- Minimum of 6 years of work related experience with operating facilities, owner organization, and/or EPCM firms
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
