Project GIS Lead
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Extensive knowledge and experience in GIS, including geospatial analysis, figure production, field data collection and post-processing, geodatabase design and maintenance, and GIS administration
- Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure or environmental-related GIS projects
- Extensive experience working with the Esri ArcGIS platform (i.e., Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online)
- Experience with web applications and mobile GIS, especially Esri ArcGIS Online and Field Maps/Collector
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and CAD-to-GIS data conversion
- Experience with Python scripting and other forms of automation is an asset
- Passion for and understanding of the fields of geography, geomatics, geodesy, technology, and information communication
- Established cartographer
- Critical thinker
- Inherent problem-solver
- Experienced technical writer (e.g., proposals, scientific reports)
- Effective communicator using traditional and modern, technology-based formats
- Detail-oriented individual with ability to effectively execute concurrent multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of quality
- Ability to excel in a collaborative environment with frequent surges in workload
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in GIS, geography, geomatics, geosciences, environmental science, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated professional work experience in the field of GIS.
- Prior experience working within a consulting environment will be considered valuable.
- Specific experience providing GIS services within the environmental sector will be considered a strength but is not required.

Candidates should provide two (2) representative examples of prior work that best demonstrate typical work products and the ability to meet the capabilities and credentials outlined in this requisition. Candidates are encouraged to provide context to work samples, if warranted.
- Examples may include but are not limited to complete reports, analyses, maps or figures, data or 3-D visualizations, presentations, or geospatial technical solutions to environmental or engineering problems.
