Project Lead - Urban Planning & Design
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to lead complex community, land, and site development and planning tasks.
- Strong client management and communication skills.
- Highly effective in assembling and leading multi-discipline teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of land use and development processes, applicable government regulations and planning policy/theory.
- In-depth knowledge of planning policies and processes in Alberta, specifically in the Calgary region.
- Experience presenting before Planning Commissions and Councils.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
- Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects, PMP accreditation an asset.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Planning.
- 7 years of experience in public and private sector community planning
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects.
- Full CIP/APPI membership.
Typical office environment working with computers. Stantec is proud to offer a hybrid working environment and the opportunity to work from our local office and your home office may be considered. Some travel may be required to attend meetings with clients and review agencies. May occasionally visit study areas, construction sites and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
