Capabilities and Credentials
- Able to manage multiple projects in different locations, using team resources which may be located in multiple locations within North America, or in other parts of the world
- Experience with developing front-end project scopes of work, execution plans, fee estimates, and schedules
- Experience in one or more of the following industries/areas required:
- Upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas industry
- Energy Renewables (Hydrogen, Biofuels, Solar, Wind, etc.)
- Liquid/gas pipeline system design, facility design, terminals design, construction, and federal/state regulatory jurisdictions.
- Light or heavy industrial, energy production and distribution, and/or power generation.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, including legal contracts.
- Experience in coordinating the development and writing of proposals.
- Past experience supervising engineering staff/project teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel to field locations throughout the US. Travel is anticipated to be approximately 10% and based on project and/or client needs.
- Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License.
- Prior to employment with Stantec, this position will require the successful passing of a drug screen.
Education and Experience
- Degree in engineering (electrical, civil, chemical, control systems, or mechanical)
- Minimum 7 years of oil/gas pipeline, heavy industrial, utilities, power generation, and/or alternative energy (solar/wind), and associated facilities design experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager .
- Project Engineering / Design Management experience and Professional Engineering (PE) License are preferred.
