Your Capabilities and Credentials  
  • Ability to work with a diverse team of professionals in environmental sciences, engineering, architecture, planning, GIS, etc.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health & Safety protocols.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Local (Washington, Oregon) candidates preferred.
  • Prior to employment with Stantec, you will be required to successfully pass a physical and drug/alcohol screening; and
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license a must.
  • Knowledge of Washington, Oregon and Federal regulations and policies regarding site assessment, remediation and redevelopment;
  • Experience with developing small area plans;
  • Knowledge of market research, policy development, Washington and Organ local land use planning, and/or urban design;
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups including local government staff and elected officials, developers, property owners, advocacy groups, community leaders, and the general public;
  • Commitment to planning for improved public health, racial equity, and environmental justice in communities in the Northwest;
  • Experience implementing projects funded by state/federal grant programs;
  • Experience managing complex multi-year projects;
  • Experience working with communities of all sizes and scales, from rural counties to dense urban centers; and
  • Experience building coalitions and partnerships (public, private, and non-profit) to conduct engagement and implement plans.
 
Bachelor’s in planning, landscape architecture or related discipline. Masters and AICP or PLA Designations preferred.
 
At least 10 years’ experience managing complex brownfield planning, site investigation/remediation and/or redevelopment projects under a variety of local, state, and federal regulatory structures.
