Project Manager - Water

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Proven project management experience on water infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management procedures and principals. Registration as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
• Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligible for registration.
• Strong design leadership and client relation building skills with proven capability to lead design teams and mentor staff.
• Strong communication, written and presentation skills and experience in presenting designs and concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Collaborative in nature, with ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of all phases of project implementation, and strong understanding of engineering design processes.
• Technical experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of conveyance and civil engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
• Knowledge and experience working with municipal clients in Alberta.
• Experience with the use of Microsoft Office software suite. Experience with Microsoft Project is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute.
• Related graduate degree would be an asset.
• Minimum five (5) years of consulting experience, primarily in the design of water and wastewater conveyance and related civil infrastructure, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management.
• Experience in the consulting engineering environment and project management experience is an asset.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Field work up to 20% of the time.
