Resident Engineer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Expertise and prior experience with assisting in bringing matters to a prompt resolution as they pertain to standard engineering and construction practices.
- Strong technical and project coordination skills, written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of construction, project management scheduling and estimating, and federal and state regulations and industry safety standards.
- Additional certifications such as OSHA 30, CCM, ENV-SP, PMP, etc. are highly desired.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer and office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Local NYC experience with NYCDDC, NYCDEP, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, Port Authority of NY&NJ, and MTA are preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college.
- Valid NYS Professional Engineering License (ASCE Grade V) or ability to obtain ASAP.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects.
