Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Effective communication skills and aptitude for technical leadership within the group.
- Able to effectively identify and discuss project issues within Project Teams and in front of Clients and stakeholders as required on a project-by-project basis.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of project scoping, task identification and resource assignments, scheduling, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
- Willingness to provide mentoring and share technical knowledge with junior designers to support the growth and technical excellence of the team.
- Thorough understanding of applicable design guidelines and codes for relevant jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of relevant design software, which may include AutoCAD, Civil3D and Auto-Turn. Knowledge of CAiCE software would be an asset.
Education and Experience
Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma, plus a minimum of 17 years of directly related project experience.Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
