Your Capabilities and Credentials

High school graduate or equivalent work experience. Bachelors preferred.

Must have 10+ years of construction inspection experience serving in similar capacity for public works projects including pipeline and pump station projects.

Engagement in local and national technical societies is preferred.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to pass a drug test.

Possess excellent skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Experience using web-based document management systems. Bentley ProjectWise Construction Management (EADOC) experience is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Must have good communication and interpersonal skills

Possess good organizational skills.

Must be familiar with trench dewatering, backfilling and compaction of utility trenches and pavement/surface restoration

Ability to make decisions on projects based on the design criteria of engineering

Self-starter, can work independently and knows how to get along with contractors on a project site

Construction management training very beneficial

OSHA 10 training and Confined Space Entry certification beneficial

ACI Grade 1 Field Technician certification preferred

ICC Special Inspector certification preferred
Education and Experience
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and construction experience. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience.Position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include short term exposure to the elements including inclement and hot weather.
