- Diverse background in energy, resources and mining projects.
- Experience designing and analyzing projects using various economic and financial methodologies.
- Experience developing new clients and relationships.
- Experience with outputs of a mining, civil, and geotechnical engineering analysis the resulting financial implications of different parameters.
- Strong technical and business writing skills, organizational skills, technical leadership abilities, oral communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work and make decisions independently.
- Experience in initiating and maintaining relationships and using that to build confidence with key staff from other locations and disciplines within Stantec, as well as with existing and prospective clients.
- You have a willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Education and Experience
- 25+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering and/or mineral economics, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in conducting mineral market studies, economic and financial evaluation of mining projects, mineral valuations, mining development strategies, risk analysis, and mining advisory.
- Experience representing a company at conferences.
- Experience developing client opportunities, proposals and managing projects.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
