Your Opportunity
A great opportunity exists for a highly motivated Senior Drainage Project Manager to join our well-established Transportation team in Florida. This role offers flexibility in locations throughout Florida, including, Coral Gables, West Plam Beach, Deerfield Beach, Orlando, Lake Mary, or Tampa.
The Senior Drainage Project Manager with broad knowledge and skills in the area of Water Resources and Roadway Drainage design will be responsible for supervision of drainage related tasks and staff; drainage analysis, design and production; bridge hydraulic analysis as well as environmental permitting in accordance with FDOT, SFWMD, local municipality and local drainage district standards, criteria, and accepted practices. This is an opportunity to work on exciting projects of high complexity in collaboration with other very talented staff.
Your Key Responsibilities
· Working on a variety of projects with different clients such as FDOT District Four, FDOT District Six, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, City of Miami Capital Improvements Program, and Miami-Dade Aviation Department.
· Leading and assisting in marketing and proposal efforts including presentations.
· Mentoring, training, and/or supervising senior, mid-level engineers and engineer interns.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
· Experience with Microstation, Geopak, AdICPR, ASAD, Geopak Drainage, and HEC-RAS.
· Advanced level of technical writing and communication skills required for technical reports and proposals.
· Intermediate to advanced experience of roadway and traffic control plan design, utility coordination, environmental permitting, and/or PD&E.
· Design-Build and Owner’s Rep experience on limited access and tolled facilities preferred.
· Skilled in planning, organizing, and managing multiple work assignments.
· Solid leadership and management skills, self-motivated, and possess a strong ability to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problems.
· Ability to market new clients (business development), with effective proposal and technical writing skills.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
· Licensed Florida Professional Engineer preferred or ability to obtain within six months.
· 10+ years of drainage design experience for roadway and/or aviation projects.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
