Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Must have experience with electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear (low and medium voltage up to 15 kV); knowledge in solid state protective relaying and metering is a plus. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal abilities for working in a team environment as well as working with and/or supervising disparately located technical teams. 
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey project electrical needs to the project managers and clients and to formulate those needs into comprehensive plans and specifications. 
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Willing and able to travel. Occasional international travel may be required. 
  • Ability to work in and/or coordinate design development in a 3D / 4D database driven environment will be considered a plus.  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to prepare complete, concise and organized engineering calculations and analyses, and to mentor junior staff in accomplishing the same. 
  • Electrical construction field experience. 
  • Direct experience with (or direct management of teams using) one or more of the following applications will be considered a plus: Bentley AutoPlant, AutoDesk AutoCad, AutoDesk AutoCad 3D or AutoDesk Revit MEP. 
  • Extensive knowledge of the NEC and other NFPA standards is required.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required. 
  • Licensed Nevada Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain Nevada PE by comity within 6 months is required. 
  • Ability to obtain licensure in other Desert-Mountain states within 1 year of employment, as directed.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience required in water and/or wastewater treatment facility-related projects.
  • Proficiency with Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication including public speaking experience, and leading client meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
