Your Education and Experiences
- Minimum B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
- Sufficient intermediate and senior electrical design experience in design and implementation of MV and LV electrical substations, distribution, motors control and drives, power generation, as well as working knowledge of field instrumentation and automated equipment integration.
- Excellent working knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and standards, relevant industry standards and regulations. Understanding of electrical design concepts, equipment and personnel safety strategies and electrical system protection theories and applications. –
- Experience in water/wastewater and other industrial facilities would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of power analysis software (ETAP), a lighting calculation software (AGI), design drafting software (AutoCAD and Revit) is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and continual diligence to follow-up. Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Self-motivated, with strong desire to learn and fulfill client expectations.
- Well organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects. Strong organizational, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
- Must be able to be a part of cross-functional teams with the ability to relate well and cooperate with other members of the team, to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
- Experience in project management is considered an asset.
