• Advanced US energy and utility market expertise across thermal, renewable and power delivery markets with detailed understanding of how regulation and policy decisions impact strategic decisions of Stantec’s diverse energy stakeholders and clients. 
  
• Extensive experience managing and producing critical, regulatory-grade documents and consulting services to withstand scrutiny from C-Suite/Senior Executives, Investors, and Regulatory/Agency stakeholders. 
  
• Demonstrated ability to apply policy and regulatory impact analysis to clients operational and capital investment decisions. 
  
• Demonstrated successful experience/knowledge in decision making, as well as assessing, evaluating and solving strategic and/or operational challenges. 
  
• A highly intelligent, strategically minded leader with superb communication and interpersonal skills who prioritizes the development of trust and authenticity among their team. 
  
• Highly innovative leader, with a displayed willingness to step outside of conventional approaches in pursuit of client value and service excellence. 
  
• Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors. 
  
• Demonstrated experience in client service management. 
  
• Experienced in project management, including defining and setting the direction for a team, project and change management as required. 
  
• Collaborative, strong team orientation well-suited to leading through mandate or influence to build consensus within a global organization. 
  
• Able to manage competing priorities in a high-paced global consultancy while maintaining exceptional value and quality. 
  
• Experience in building and managing distributed teams of technical and business professionals. 
  

Education and Experience 

• Minimum of 10 years of consulting or client-side experience energy industry experience, ideally with a generation and transmission utility, developer or distribution utility 
  
• Relevant Degree in Business or Engineering, with a master’s in business or MBA being advantageous. 
  
• Knowledge of Ecosystem services and Benefit Cost analysis preferred 
  
• History of leading projects with a record of client satisfaction, timely delivery of work, and ability to manage budget and internal and external stakeholder requirements. 
  
• Proven track record of regulatory and investment case support for major energy, industrial or institutional organizations.
