- Working knowledge of the principles of engineering geology, geological or geotechnical engineering.
- Willing and able to travel, both nationally and internationally, to conduct field investigation or construction quality oversight type work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Sound organizational, technical, written, and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
Education and Experience
- 15 to 25 years' work experience in engineering geology or geological engineering. Dams or levees experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or Engineering Geology from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.
- California Professional Geologist preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
