Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, business writing, electronic communications, and presentations.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to understand project and team roles, scheduling, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
  • Entrepreneurial nature and ability to lead others to achieve group results.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and geotechnical systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations, and the ability to adapt to client-specific requirements.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, engineering drawings, and other similar materials.
  • Ability to concurrently lead several projects or tasks with a sound understanding of overall goals, objectives, and costs to our clients.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills, and desire to encourage and coach junior staff.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with ability to obtain reciprocity to other states.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, and familiarity with (experience not required) AutoCAD Civil3D, Geostudio Software Suite, Plaxis, ENSOFT LPILE, FB Deep/MultiPier, DigiPro2, and OpenGround. 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering from an accredited university. Masters preferred.
  • Professional engineer license required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience.
  • Experience working on federal contracts.

Flexible office and/or field arrangements depending on required activities. Typical office environment includes working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
