Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Aptitude to work with information from external relational databases
- Experience with ESRI suite of tools (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online)
- Working knowledge of the principles of asset/work order management systems
- Knowledge of the principles of geographic information science and GIS technology
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and clients
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction
- Ability to utilize personal computers, standard office equipment and standard software applications as Microsoft Office
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, desire to learn, punctual, and highly organized.
- Knowledge of pavement management and ADA/MUTCD compliance is a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Asset Management/ GIS, Geography, Information System Management, or a closely related field with major course work in GIS, or equivalent academic credentials related to the field of GIS. A Master's degree is desirable.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the use of Asset Management software technologies.
A comparable amount of training and/or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. GIS certification can be used to establish equivalency. Must maintain good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with public. Excellent written and oral communications skills required. Must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English language.
