Senior GIS Analyst
We are seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to help grow and support Stantec’s GIS practice across Western Australia. Based within our WA GIS team, you will apply your broad knowledge of the ArcGIS ecosystem to deliver geospatial analysis, data management, web applications and enterprise GIS solutions across a diverse range of projects and sectors. Experience supporting environmental and ecological work will be valued, alongside the ability to develop practical spatial solutions and work effectively within an enterprise GIS environment.

Day to day tasks would involve:
· Lead and deliver GIS tasks and projects from scoping and proposal development through to implementation, quality assurance and final delivery.
· Design, build and maintain GIS solutions across desktop, web and mobile platforms, including ArcGIS applications, maps and field data collection workflows.
· Undertake spatial analysis, data transformation and automation to develop practical solutions for projects across a range of sectors and disciplines.
· Create, manage and quality-check spatial datasets, geodatabases and services in line with enterprise GIS standards and best practice.
· Provide technical advice, troubleshooting, training and day-to-day GIS support to project teams and internal users.
· Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists and clients to define requirements, coordinate GIS inputs and deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.
· Support team capability through technical review, mentoring, knowledge sharing and the adoption of improved GIS tools, standards and workflows.
To be successful for this role you’ll need:
· Degree in Geographical Information Systems or similar Tertiary Qualification with experience in GIS.
· 4-7 years of relevant professional GIS experience.
· Strong experience across the ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise, with the ability to develop and maintain web applications, spatial services and enterprise GIS workflows.
· Experience with FME is highly regarded.
· Scripting and automation skills (proficiency in Python or R language preferred).
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Experience managing a project from proposal to report delivery with minimal supervision.
· Consultancy experience preferred.
· Ability to work across multiple projects/teams simultaneously, maintaining client and staff relationships while delivering work effectively and within time and budget constraints.

· Strong commercial acumen and ability to seek out new business development opportunities.
