Senior Healthcare Plumbing Engineer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Working knowledge of medical gases
• Project management experience with small to mid-level projects, including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience, and being able to direct other individuals in the design of plumbing systems.
• Perform well within multiple project delivery methods (design-build, design-bid-build, IPD, etc.)
• Remain current in the latest plumbing engineering techniques and practices.
• Working knowledge of:  California Plumbing Code, National Plumbing Code, California Energy Code, HCAI Codes and Regulations including  PINs and CANs, NFPA-99, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, and AutoCAD. 
• Proficient with plumbing engineering and design

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent in related field plus 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated skills.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role designing plumbing and medical gas systems for new and renovation projects within the Healthcare market, such as hospitals and medical office buildings in addition to support buildings and central plants
• California P.E. or CPD is preferred
• P.E. registration in other states is a plus.
• HCAI/OSHPD experience is required.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
