- Has well-developed understanding of relevant areas of design including codes and requirements specific to local geographic market.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation.
- Proficient in relevant software programs including AutoCAD CADWorx, PDMS and/or MicroStation. Ability to work in AutoCAD 3D environment.
- Working experience in Upstream Oil/Gas Industry.
- Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
- Field experience is preferred.
- Proven mentoring skills and desire to work with and encourage junior staff.
- Ability to review and approve work.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to write clear, thorough technical reports.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple jobs/projects.
- Proven problem solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License.
- Prior to employment with Stantec, this position will require the successful passing of a drug screen.
Education and Experience
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical/Technologist Designation considered an asset. Supervisory and leadership experience is a plus. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience.Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
