Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong knowledge, interpretation, and application of the mining standards and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of mining engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Be a driver of a positive work environment.
- Perform as competent person for NV-4301 or JORC reserves & resources reporting
- Expertise in pit and phase optimization using Whittle, MMSO or NPVS software (Whittle is preferred)
- Proven experience in one of the following: Vulcan, MineSight, Deswik or Carlson mine design software
- Experience in creating optimized mine plans using Deswik Scheduler software is a plus.
- Prior work in prefeasibility and feasibility project phases is preferred.
- Experience in mine valuation studies a plus.
- Familiar with Mine Health and Safety Regulations
- Valid driver’s license required
Education and Experience
- Mining Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in surface metals, industrial, or construction aggregate mining.
- Engineering and operations experience at an operating mine considered an asset.
