Your Opportunity
Stantec's Miami, FL office is seeking a senior-level Project Architect to work with local and regional leadership to design great projects, grow the practice, and have a positive and profound impact on the communities we serve.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse mix of project types including commercial interiors, workplace, hospitality, specialty architectural, adaptive reuse and mixed-use.
Assignments will range from concurrent responsibility for multiple small- to mid-size projects of varying complexity, to several projects of larger scope and importance.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Managing inter-disciplinary teams including designers, architects, engineers, and other building related professionals.
- Effectively participates and helps to win work in interviews for potential projects.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client.
- Leads the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.
- Mentors and motivates project team members.
- Assures that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented.
- Leads project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.
- Advocates and inspires creativity, critical thought and design excellence both internally and externally.
- Support Business Development activities, including marketing proposals, interview, conference attendance, etc.
- Fosters collaboration between offices while promoting and providing design vision.
- Evaluates the quality of design and design activities and assure a high level of design quality throughout the firm.
- Participates in production of design award submissions.

- Scale process, design and effort to various roles on the project, the needs of the project, and other conditions.
- Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material. Strong presentation and interview skills.
- Understanding of historical values and context.
- To present abstract ideas to the client and client representatives.
- To exhibit maturity and cultural awareness internally and externally.
- General knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards.
- Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, Sefaira, Recent modeling software; Prefer experience with 3D Printer, Laser cutter.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field & Registered Architect (Preferred). Minimum of 7 years of experience. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
